Round 2 started with a bad poke to my port and then on the second attempt he couldn't get a good blood return so we had to do the blood draw the standard way. We then went up to meet with my Oncologist and he said my white blood cell count was lower so there was a chance we would have to delay chemo for a couple days. After working with the pharmacist they decided to only do 2 of the chemos (Oxaliplatin and Irinotecan) it was decided that they would hold the Avastin another round and would not do 5FU for this session either. I was also given a 2nd dose of the premeds to help with the side affects of the chemo.

Treatment went smooth otherwise and instead of going home with the 5fu and bag I went home with a neulasta on body injector for the white blood cell meds. Moving forward after each treatment I will receive the white blood cell meds.

I am writing this the day after treatment and currently listening to the faint beep of the neulasta injector. Today I felt much better than the last round and am hopeful it will stay that way but I am still nervous how the white blood cell meds will make me feel.

Praying for you Gabby! I’ve just finished my 4th round of chemo for breast cancer! I totally understand all you are going through! I also have gotten Nuelasta with the on-pro pump! Never had any side effects from that and praying you didn’t have any either! Keeping you in my prayers! Gods got you!

Sweet Lady, I am so sorry you are going through all of this. Sounds like you are a strong fighter that will kick cancer. I’m a survivor of lung cancer and cancer free since May 1,2020. Sending you big hugs and positive energy. 💜
