On Monday I had my first follow up appointment since ringing the bell. We started with a blood draw where I did the standard Personalis blood kit and the Guardant reveal blood kit. Both kits monitor for minimal residual disease. The Personalis test however is unique for each person based on your tumors specific profile. We also got some updates on the possible liver radiation and the "punctate nodule" on my lung. For the liver- the 5th spot that disappeared- we had discussed the possibility of doing radiation on that area. After talking with the radiation Dr. and him looking at the MRI scan and further discussing it with his team, they are unable to see any sign of the previous tumor at all so we wont be doing radiation on it. For the lung- Dr. Kasi had the lung surgeon closely comb through the CT scan and he determined that what they saw on the scan has actually been there since my original scans in Dec 2024 and it hasn't changed. So, we are not going to operate on the spot at this time but will continue to closely monitor it. All are amazing updates. I am still pretty slow, have been feeing tired and my back will hurt by the end of the day. But I have also fully dived back into mom mode so I think the fatigue is expected. I am doing my best to slow down and rest but with so much to get done it is hard to take breaks. Last week I was able to make it to the gym about 3 days and yesterday I got my bi-weekly vitamin C drip. Staying on top of my health is extremely important to me.
